Oosteeklo Loopt is the village race of Oosteeklo, part of the municipality of Assenede in the Meetjesland. The start and finish are at the youth and sports grounds Ter Walle, behind the church at the beginning of the Stroomstraat, where the changing facilities are as well. The 5, 10 and 15 kilometres set off together, which turns the start into a shared moment; alongside them are separate distances for children. Entry is possible on the day itself in the morning, up to shortly before the start. The race coincides with the village summer fair, which makes it part of a wider weekend of festivities, with the bustle in the centre lasting all day.
