Strong Viking Obstacle Run Wijchen

About the race

The Strong Viking at Wijchen is the spring edition at the De Berendonck recreation area near Nijmegen, and counts as the first mud run of the year. There are five distances: 4, 7, 13, 19 and 42 kilometres, plus a separate family version over 4 kilometres. Along the way obstacles such as the Walhalla Walls, which can be taken at full height or in a lower variant, and Storm the Castle await. What sets this edition apart is the absence of the big water obstacles, which makes the course a good deal more approachable in early spring without saving anyone from the mud. Finishers receive a T-shirt, and there are aid stations along the route.
