The Alfa Laval Stevensloop is a city race in Nijmegen over 5 kilometres, 10 kilometres and a half marathon. Every distance starts in the Kronenburgerpark and finishes in the middle of the centre, at the foot of the Stevenskerk. The courses cut right through the oldest city in the Netherlands and offer plenty of variety along the way: the historic centre, views across the river island, the skyline along the Waal and, on the longest distance, the open countryside of the Ooijpolder. The running weekend already starts on the Saturday with the Stevens Stadscross, which runs through the lit Stevenskerk and the underground passages of the Bastei and climbs the many stairways of the old town.
