Mûzelloop Jirnsum

About the race

The Mûzelloop is the village race of Jirnsum, named after the Mûzel: the old lower course of the Boarn, which begins in the village at the Jirnsummersyl lock and runs towards Raerd and the Sneker Oudvaart. The routes follow that water. At quarter to seven the 1.3-kilometre kids run sets off, and at half past seven the 5, 8.3 and 10 kilometres go together. Bibs are collected at De 2 Gemeenten on the Grousterdijk. The course is flat and paved and runs through open Frisian country, where the wind has more influence on your time than the profile does. Stichting de Mûzelloop organises the evening.
