Mondi Run is AC Hoppeland's spring race in Poperinge, with start and finish at Zaal Maeke-Blyde in Doornstraat. The race deliberately chooses open Westhoek countryside: a small loop for the 7 km, a large loop for the 14 km and a combination of both for the officially measured half marathon, passing hop fields and the De Lovie estate. Children get short rounds of 600 and 1,200 metres. Along the course there are aid stations every 4 to 5 km and electronic timing with the chip in the bib; afterwards, showers, guarded bag storage, a bar and terrace sit close to the finish. That makes Mondi Run feel club-driven, scenic and practically well cared for at the same time.
