Mondi Run is the annual race staged by AC Hoppeland in Poperinge, starting and finishing at the Maeke-Blyde hall on the Doornstraat. The course deliberately seeks out the open countryside of the Westhoek: a small loop for the 7 kilometres, a large loop for the 14 kilometres and a combination of the two for the half marathon, which is officially measured at 21.0975 kilometres. The morning starts with the 7 kilometres, followed by the 14 kilometres and the half marathon; the kids' run over 600 and 1200 metres closes the programme around midday. Aid stations come every 4 to 5 kilometres and timing is electronic, with a chip in the race number. Showers, a supervised bag drop, a bar and a terrace are all close to the finish.
