Midzomer Run Mariënheem

About the race

Midzomer Run Mariënheem is the running event of Midzomerfeest in Mariënheem. On Friday 19 June 2026 participants cover 4 English miles, just over 6 km, on a varied Salland course through the countryside around Mariënheem and Raalte. The route uses both paved roads and unpaved paths through meadows and woodland, giving the run more character than a standard road race. Start and finish are on the Midzomerfeest grounds at De Essenbree, directly linked to the atmosphere of the festival weekend. Runners can enter individually or as a team of three to five people; in the team ranking the three fastest times count. After the run, changing and showers are available at 't Asspel, and participants can move straight into the Friday evening programme. That makes Midzomer Run sporty, social and distinctly local at the same time.
