LoveLife Run - Leiden

About the race

LoveLife Run Leiden is a fundraising run around the LUMC and the Alrijne hospital, in which cancer patients and survivors work towards the finish together with the people close to them and their carers. Participants prepare for weeks and get sponsored for cancer research, so the story behind the entry carries as much weight as the distance itself. The route is compact and easy to follow, built from short laps and staffed by volunteers, keeping the attention on the participants rather than on logistics. Alongside the main distance there is a kids' run. The proceeds go to cancer research. In that way the LoveLife Run combines movement, involvement and solidarity in a way you rarely feel this directly at an ordinary road race.
