Leiden Marathon

About the race

Leiden Marathon is a race weekend in and around Leiden’s historic city centre, with the Vismarkt and Garenmarkt as its main anchors. In 2026 the programme combines Saturday walks over 10, 21 and 42.195 km, a 5 km night run on Saturday evening, and Sunday’s marathon, half marathon, 10 km and Corpus Kidsrun. The longer running distances start on Koninginnelaan and finish on the Vismarkt; the route leaves the city for the Green Heart and the villages around Leiden. That gives the event a mix of city-centre energy, village support and classic road-race character.
