Leersumse Veld Trail 2026
The Leersumse Veld Trail sets off at Landgoed Ginkelduin and heads onto the Leersumse Veld, an area of heath, pools and woodland on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. There are two distances, 11 and 21 kilometres, both unpaved and carrying the elevation the ridge brings with it. Trail Events works to a policy called We Only Leave Footprints: you bring your own cup, there are no disposable cups along the course and you carry your rubbish back. In a nature reserve like this that is not a flourish but a condition of being allowed to run there.
