The Amerongse Koploop is a trail run through the woods of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park, between Amerongen and Leersum, with the start area on the Bertus Leendersweg. Runners choose from 6, 10, 16 or 25 kilometres; walkers have their own offering of 10 or 16 kilometres. For children there are two kids' runs, 750 metres for the youngest and 1500 metres for the older ones. A quarter of the entry fee goes to the foundation behind the national park, under the banner of sport in and for nature. All participants receive a durable medal and a drinks token for the finish area.
