Amerongse Koploop is a GreenRace event on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, with its event base on Bertus Leendersweg in Amerongen. The heart of the programme is trail running through the forests between Amerongen and Leersum, with distances of 6 km, 10 km, 16 km and 25 km. Walking hikes and kids runs of 750 metres and 1.5 km make the event broader than a classic race day. The atmosphere is recreational and nature-focused, while the trail distances still have timing and results. For participants that creates a clear choice: sample the hills over a shorter distance, spend longer in the forest, or join as a family through one of the youth and walking options.
