La Potirun

About the race

The Potirun is an evening race in the centre of Philippeville, starting and finishing at the Place d'Armes. At 7 pm the children begin with short races of 200 m, 400 m and 1500 m, depending on their birth year. At 8 pm the adults follow over 5 or 8.5 km through the streets of the old fortified town. The name refers to the pumpkin (potiron), fitting for this autumn race. You can register online in advance, up to the evening before the race.
