La Course du Bois du Cazier 2026
La Course du Bois du Cazier sets off from the Rue du Cazier in Charleroi, by the former colliery site on the UNESCO world heritage list. The course combines trail with stretches of road and runs past the slag heaps, over forest paths and through the Marcinelle district, with views across the city. The two races are called 5 and 10 kilometres but in fact measure 6.09 and 16.40 kilometres, with 75 and 134 metres of climbing; the organisers publish those figures themselves. At ten the two KidsRuns of 500 metres and a kilometre go first, half an hour later the longer distances. The event is organised by DebjaRun.
