The Lions Rottemerenloop is a road race organized by Lions Club Zevenhuizen in the Rottemeren area. The 35th edition starts on Saturday 30 May 2026 at 10:00 from the Willem-Alexander Baan on Nely Gambonplein in Zevenhuizen, with a choice of 5, 10 and 15 kilometres. The routes run through the Eendragtspolder and the open landscape around the Rotte, with water, polder roads and wide views as the backdrop. The new start and finish location offers practical facilities such as changing rooms, showers, lockers and parking. Because the proceeds go to charities supported by the Lions club, the race has a clear local community purpose alongside its sporting character. It is a straightforward performance run for recreational and competitive runners who want to combine a fast distance with the Rottemeren landscape.
