The Kleine Wielenloop is one of the races of Sportvereniging Friesland, run in the De Groene Ster recreation area on the east side of Leeuwarden, starting and finishing at the kiosk on the Oer de Bril. The morning opens at quarter to eleven with the children's kilometre; fifteen minutes later the 5, the 10 and the 16 kilometres set off together. The entry fee differs per runner: club members pay less than non-members, and anyone entering on the day pays two euros more either way. Beyond that the set-up is without frills — a spring race in the green, close to the city.
