The Kerkpolderloop is a training race organised by the running club DIJC-Bertus in Den Hoorn, just outside Delft. The format is deliberately simple: a single 5-kilometre loop through the Kerkpolder area, starting on the car park beside the clubhouse Onder Ons and finishing on the gravel path behind it. The race appears several times over the summer, always on a Sunday morning at ten o'clock, so runners can pick whichever edition suits them. With an entry fee of three euros, payable on the spot, the threshold stays low. That makes the Kerkpolderloop particularly suited to anyone wanting a short race without fuss, as a training effort or to test their own pace.
