The Jan De Nul Halve Marathon Aalst is a road race organised by Maspoe vzw, with start and finish on Statieplein in Aalst. The second edition combines a 5 km race with a 21.1 km half marathon. The organisers aim for a fast, flat event with chip timing, a finisher medal, aid stations and changing or shower facilities. The half marathon includes pacers and a separate wheelchair start shortly before the main field. The time limits are clear: 45 minutes for the 5 km and 2 hours 45 minutes for the half marathon.
