The Infinity Trail Vielsalm is built from a single 7-kilometre loop with 340 metres of climbing, covered once, three times, five times or ten — giving the START, CONFIRMED, EXPERT and ULTRA, from 7 to 70 kilometres and 350 to 3400 metres of climbing. The rule that shapes the whole thing: every loop must be finished within the hour, or you may not begin the next. That makes it less a race against other runners than a race against the clock, lap after lap. The start times run inversely to the length, so everyone comes in together towards evening.
