Huissense Midzomerrun

About the race

Huissense Midzomerrun is a summer evening race organised by Loopgroep Huissen, with start and finish at De Buitenpoort. On Wednesday 17 June 2026 the children’s runs open the programme in the town centre, followed by the 10 km at 19:30 and the 5 km at 19:45. The route runs through central Huissen and via the Slingerbos back to De Buitenpoort, compact enough for spectators to stay close to the action yet serious enough for runners chasing a fast evening effort. In only a few years the event has grown from a local initiative into a recognisable June fixture with a strong village feel. That gives the Midzomerrun a pleasantly clear shape: collect your number, stay close to the start area, let children enjoy their own race atmosphere and then run a 5 or 10 km that genuinely belongs to Huissen.
