Hooge Vuursche Trail

About the race

The Hooge Vuursche Trail is a trail run from Bosbad De Vuursche in Baarn, in the green area around the Utrechtse Heuvelrug and the Hooge Vuursche. On 13 June 2026, runners can choose between 7 kilometres, 13 kilometres and 21 kilometres. The distances remain manageable, but they clearly have a trail profile: forest ground, winding paths and gradually more elevation as the distance gets longer. The published routes list roughly 30 metres of climbing on the 7 km, 120 on the 13 km and 220 on the 21 km. That makes this an accessible trail for runners looking for a short nature run, but also a serious option for those who prefer to run a half marathon on unpaved terrain rather than asphalt.
