Heemstede Loop

About the race

The Heemstede Loop starts and finishes on the Sportparklaan in Heemstede and follows a five-kilometre lap through the Groenendaalse Bos and the surrounding streets. Anyone running ten kilometres covers that lap twice. There is also a FamilyRun of one and a half kilometres for children from around the age of four, with two start times by age group; it goes off first, followed in turn by the ten and the five kilometres. The course is closed to traffic, which keeps things calm on the narrower woodland paths. Bands, an orchestra and DJs are stationed along the route, and on the through sections spectators stand close to the barriers. SportSupport Kennemerland handles the organisation.
