Halve Marathon Zele is an afternoon road-running event with start and finish at Basisschool De Vlinderboom in Durmen. The programme combines kids and youth races with 4 km and 8 km jogs and a 21.1 km half marathon. The longer events include electronic timing, aid on the course and an awards ceremony later in the afternoon. With its school-based venue, short youth races and a choice between approachable jogging distances and a full half marathon, the event works well for families as well as runners looking for a proper road race.
