Dendermonde Loopt is a city run in the heart of Dendermonde, with start and finish on the Grote Markt. The programme combines youth distances with 5 km, 10 km and 10 miles, giving young runners, recreational participants and pace-focused runners a suitable challenge. On the longer distances, pacers provide extra guidance and electronic timing gives the race a clear sporting edge. At the same time, the atmosphere remains local and accessible, with bag storage, changing rooms, showers and a finisher medal for the main distances. As the race is part of the Sportievak criterium, Dendermonde Loopt also appeals to runners who combine several races in the same series.
