The Halve Marathon van Roosendaal starts on the Nieuwe Markt and finishes on the Oude Markt, right in the town centre. The course alternates between town and greenery: the 21.1 kilometres partly follows the green edge of Roosendaal, the quarter marathon of 10.5 kilometres makes a loop just outside the built-up area, and the eighth marathon of 5.25 kilometres stays largely in the old town, with a turning point past the JTC college. The two longest distances have pacers and cut-off times. For those for whom taking part is not a given, there is the Roosrun over about a kilometre through the traffic-free town centre. In the morning, waymarked walking routes of 7, 10 and 25 kilometres set off from the C-Cinema, also suitable for Nordic walkers.
