GR Provincie Trail Limburg

About the race

GR Provincie Trail Limburg is a small trail race put on by Marathon and More Belgium along a stretch of GR long-distance path near Riemst, starting and finishing at De Grenspaal. The race is about covering ground: the route follows the GR waymarks with a GPX file as backup, and the field is deliberately capped at forty runners. Each edition picks a different section of the path, so participants always get new terrain underfoot. The half marathon measures a little over 21 kilometres with some 350 metres of climbing, while the marathon version comes out at almost 43 kilometres. Cup-free aid stations appear roughly every ten kilometres and timing is electronic. Marathon runners receive a medal; on the half it is optional.
