The EverRun is a relay race in Evergem where teams complete a distance together, handing over to one another on the marathon, the half marathon or the 10 kilometres. There is also a discovery walk, so anyone who would rather walk can be part of the day. What sets it apart is not the times but the cause: the proceeds go to an organisation supporting people with an intellectual disability, autism or acquired brain injury, and giving their athletes the chance to compete at the Special Olympics. Fast runners, recreational entrants and walkers line up side by side, and that mix is exactly what makes the event what it is.
