The Dordtse Biesbosch Trailrun starts and finishes on its own grounds at the Schenkeldijk in Dordrecht. The course leads through the Nieuwe Dordtse Biesbosch, along the Nieuwe Merwede and through the Elzenbos, over dykes and narrow paths that shift from hard to soft and sandy. Natural obstacles lie along the way: pools, streams and sometimes a fallen tree across the path. There is a choice of a Family Run over 3 or 5 kilometres, 5 and 10 kilometres, ten English miles and a half marathon. Because everything begins and ends on one site, the set-up stays compact and the spectators gather in a single place.
