The DIOS Lenteloop is the running day inside the spring festival of handball club DIOS, centred on the Koningin Julianaplein in Den Hoorn. The afternoon builds from small to large: first the Peuterloop of one kilometre for three to six year olds, then the two-kilometre Jeugdloop, and later in the afternoon the timed runs over 5 and 10 kilometres. Each distance has a lower age limit — twelve for the 5, fourteen for the 10. The race has existed since 1983 and moved to the village centre in 1987, where the marquee and the crowd now stand right by the start and finish. The timed runs count towards the AAFF Summer Run Circuit.
