Damloop by Night

About the race

Damloop by Night is the evening edition of the Dam tot Dam weekend and is run entirely in Zaandam. The distance is five English miles, a little over eight kilometres, starting on the Vermiljoenweg and finishing by the Zaan at the Burcht. The course first follows part of the classic ten miles and then runs via the Zuiddijk, the Voorzaan, the Den Uylbrug, the Havenstraat and 't Eiland to the centre. Runners set off in nine start groups between half past seven and quarter past nine, sorted by expected finishing time. The finish closes at half past ten and a limit of eighty-five minutes applies. DJs, bands and light shows along the route set the evening character.
