The Course de l'Abbaye de Soleilmont takes place in the Soleilmont woods near Châtelet, starting and finishing at the former abbey. There are three distances — 5, 10 and 15 kilometres — of which only the two longest pass through the abbey grounds themselves. The afternoon opens with the youth races, split across four distances from 100 to 800 metres depending on year of birth; then the 10 and 15 kilometres set off, with the 5 kilometres going last. On site there are showers, a bag drop and a bar serving regional beers. The proceeds go to a local care project, and the organisers work together with the sports departments of three municipalities.
