The Chouffe Trail is a trail weekend around Houffalize, based at Vayamundo with routes reaching towards Achouffe and the Ourthe valley. Saturday belongs to the long distances — the hundred kilometres sets off at six in the morning — and to the two night trails, which leave at half past seven and at ten in the evening. Sunday is shorter in scope. Anyone wanting more than one race picks the Chouffe Challenge: two formulas that string three races together across the weekend, a short and a long one. The terrain is distinctly Ardennes, with plenty of unpaved ground, solid climbs, roots and rocky sections. For the hundred kilometres and the Challenge together there are four hundred places.
