Calipage Run Wetteren is a charity evening at De Warande in Wetteren, combining running and walking in support of youth cancer research through CRIG at Ghent University. The 2026 edition includes kids runs, a 5 km, a 10 km and a 5 km walk, so families, recreational participants and faster runners can all take part. The renewed course moves away from the old centre loops and adds more variety through Stuyvenberg, the Scheldt banks towards Schellebelle and the Zandbergen. Organised by VZW Samuse and FV Calipage Run Wetteren, the event has a clearly local and solidarity-driven character. Calipage Run is therefore not an anonymous road race, but an evening where sport, community feeling and fundraising come together.
