The Brabantse Wal Marathon, run by AV SPADO, starts and finishes on the athletics track of Sportpark Rozenoord in Bergen op Zoom. From there the routes head into the woods of the Brabantse Wal, largely on unpaved paths — so this is a nature run at marathon distance rather than a road marathon. Besides the marathon there are a duo-marathon, in which two runners split the distance, a half marathon, 10 and 5 kilometres and a kids run. The organisers give an advisory age per distance: eighteen for the marathon, sixteen for the half and the duo.
