The Braassemloop is the road race of the Plantaris running club in Roelofarendsveen and counts towards a regional series. The start and finish are at the Tech Campus on the Schoolbaan; parking is at the football club on the Sportpad or on the site by the Rembrandt van Rijnsingel. The morning opens with two family races for children up to twelve, over roughly 700 metres and 1.9 kilometres. The main distances then set off, with the 15 kilometres first and the 5 and 10 kilometres shortly afterwards. The course is flat and heads out of the village towards the Braassem lake. There are changing rooms, a bag drop and catering, but no showers.
