De Betuwse Smikkelroute

About the race

The Betuwse Smikkelroute is an afternoon of running and good food, starting and finishing at the ISC football club in Ingen. Times are not the point here: nothing is timed, and the roughly 10.5-kilometre route through the surrounding countryside comes with local snacks and drinks along the way. You run alone or with family and friends, and anyone wanting to cover half of it enters as a pair for a run-bike-run in which you decide yourself when to swap. Shortly afterwards a cycling puzzle tour of some 20 kilometres sets off through the nearby villages, and late in the afternoon there is a colourful kids' run on the football pitch. The proceeds go to the Roparun foundation.
