The Betuwse Appelrun starts from the Kalverbos in Tiel and belongs to the Betuwse Oogstweek, the regional festival around the fruit harvest. There are four distances, each with its own minimum age: 1 kilometre from six, 2.5 kilometres from ten, 5 kilometres from twelve and 10 kilometres from sixteen. The starts follow closely on one another in the early afternoon, with the longest distance first. The course passes recognisable places in the town. Registration is possible only in advance; on the day itself it is no longer an option. The event is organised by the Astylos athletics club of Tiel.
