The Drutenloop is a local sports event with start and finish on the Markt in Druten. The 17th edition on Sunday 12 April 2026 combined running distances of 500 m, 1 km, 1.5 km, 5 km, 10 km and the half marathon with a fitness race and a 5 or 10 km nature walk. The longer routes head towards the Waalbandijk, the town centre and the river meadows, while the youth races and the 5 km stay closer to the village. With that mix of racing, movement and village atmosphere, the Drutenloop is accessible for families, recreational participants and runners chasing a fast time.
