The 10K International de Namur runs in a single straight line along the Meuse, from Profondeville through Wépion to Namur. There are no turnarounds or side streets and the course is completely flat — this is not a city loop but a track for anyone chasing a time. It draws a field that behaves accordingly: winning times sit around thirty-two minutes and there is prize money reaching down to sixth place in both the men's and the women's categories. There is one refreshment point on the way, halfway at five kilometres, and one more at the finish. Beyond that the set-up is without frills: one distance, one direction, and a finish in the heart of the city.
