The Westenholterun is an evening race through the Zwolle district of Westenholte, starting and finishing at WVF on Sportpark De Weidesteen on the Stinsweg. The course heads into the Vreugderijkerwaard and follows the floodplains of the IJssel, so within a few minutes you go from residential street to river landscape. The programme opens with two kids runs of 400 and 800 metres, followed by the ten-kilometre powerwalk, the ten kilometres running and finally the four English miles of 6.4 kilometres, which also counts towards a classification between street teams. The entire entry fee goes to charity; the organising Warmlopers have raised close to three hundred thousand euro that way.
