Waterloop Aarschot

About the race

The Waterloop is the jogging event of De Knoet in Aarschot and has been on the calendar for more than thirty editions. The start and finish are at Sportcentrum De Laak on the Grote Laakweg, from where the course follows the banks of the Laak and the Demer towards the Turfputten and Vorsdonk nature reserves and the castle estates in the surrounding area. It is a flat route that runs partly over unpaved paths: faster than a true trail, but more varied than a road race. There are three distances — 4, 9 and 14 kilometres — with the longest starting first and the shortest last. The race is part of the Aarschot jogging series and the entry fee is deliberately kept low.
