Waat en Geknodder is a mud run for children in the Kasteelse Bossen near Horst, with start and finish at the ruins of Huys ter Horst castle. The course is full of obstacles and deliberately wet and muddy; children choose between one loop of just over three kilometres or two loops of just over six. The race is open to school years two through eight, roughly six to fourteen years old, and the field is capped at three hundred children. Everyone runs at their own pace, alone or in a small group, so it is more about pushing on and finishing together than about a classification. The event is organised by Jong Nederland Horst and OXIGYM.
