Petranpad Ultra Trail

About the race

Petranpad Ultra Trail is a long trail and walk event in North Limburg, with Meerlo as its base. The main 112 km course links nature areas around the municipality of Horst aan de Maas and follows public paths and roads through woodland, marshy sections, streams, ditches and a stretch beside a defence canal. The route is not marked: participants navigate with the supplied GPX file on their own GPS watch or handheld device. Alongside the 112 km, there is a 64 km trail from Griendtsveen to Meerlo. The event has a small-scale, no-nonsense feel, with live tracking, aid at checkpoints and a largely self-supported setup. Taking part, enduring the distance and reaching the finish matter more here than podium prizes.
