Devil's Trail Maasduinen sets off from the Hertog Jan tasting room in Arcen and heads into the Maasduinen national park: woodland, heath, drifting dunes and the river landscape along the Meuse. There are three trails — 9, 18 and 25 kilometres — with modest climbing of sixty to a hundred and twenty metres, starting in reverse order from quarter to nine. Alongside them runs a Trail & Gravel Combi: nine kilometres on foot first, then sixty-six kilometres of gravel through the same country. Anyone doing that combination has to watch the clock — you must be on the bike by ten and the feeding station closes at noon. The routes are waymarked and GPS files are supplied in advance.
