About the race

The Vredesloop is a race around the Fort van Borsbeek on Easter Monday, set up to send a joint signal for peace, solidarity and respect for international law. The first edition in 2026 attracted around 350 runners. Adults and young people run 5, 10 or 15 km on a 5 km loop around the fort, which you complete once, twice or three times. Children up to 12 have their own heats over 500 m, 1 km and 2 km. At the fort there's a terrace and entertainment for children. The 2027 programme is yet to follow; the distances given here are those of 2026.
