Urban Trail Antwerpen

About the race

Urban Trail Antwerpen shows the city from a different angle: not a classic race course but a voyage of discovery in running shoes over 7 or 13 kilometres, straight through and past buildings you would never normally cross on foot. Staircases, courtyards, narrow lanes and historic premises follow one another, so pace naturally becomes secondary to what you see along the way. Start and finish are in the Zuidpark in the middle of the city, which is also where bibs are collected. The organisers use starting waves to keep the passages through the buildings manageable and provide aid stations along the route. Every participant receives a shirt. For anyone who likes to see Antwerp from the inside, this is a very different kind of running day from a road race.
