The VathorstRun starts and finishes on the Disselplein in Hooglanderveen, the old village that has since grown together with the Amersfoort district of Vathorst. The course uses that contrast: through the new housing of Vathorst and then out into the countryside. There are three distances for adults — 5 kilometres, 10 kilometres and ten English miles — and three KidsRuns of 350 metres, 1.1 and 2.5 kilometres, so a family all have a race of their own on one morning. There is timing, refreshment along the way and supervised bag storage. The event is organised by Stichting Run033.
