About the race

Ede's Best Run is a survival run, so not a running race with obstacles in between: the obstacles are the race. You hang from ropes, climb over fences, crawl under nets and go through water, and the technique to do that efficiently weighs more than your running speed. Foot loops, monkey bars and swingovers recur on every course. There are three distances of 4.5, 7 and 8 kilometres, with separate classes for competitive and recreational entrants, plus a family and kids run. Entry is open from age six. For anyone who has never done a survival run this is one of the more approachable: the short distance mainly asks you to keep going.
