The Wezenberg Triathlon IJsselmuiden is a compact 1/8 triathlon based at Sportcentrum Sonnenberch. The race consists of a 500 m pool swim, followed by a bike section towards De Koekoek and the Mastenbroekerpolder, and finishes with a 5 km run over two laps. The classic short distance is available to individual athletes, but also as a relay for teams of two or three people. That makes the event suitable for experienced triathletes as well as for participants who want to tackle a first short triathlon together. It is organised by Sportcentrum Sonnenberch and Goedzorg Fysiotherapie, uses chip timing and supports local and social causes such as the Kamper Kracht fund, Nikai 4 Life and the National Diabetes Challenge.
