Triathlon Het Groene Woud takes place around the historic village centre of Oirschot. The swim is in the Wilhelmina canal, passing under the Stönner-Meijwaard bridge with spectators watching from above. A traffic-free bike course follows, with few corners and running across the sheltered Oirschot heath, which makes for fast times. The run is done in 2.2-kilometre laps through the village, past the terraces on the Markt, finishing in the Molenstraat. The programme offers a youth triathlon for ten to fifteen year olds, an eighth and a quarter triathlon and a team triathlon. Because the swim, bike and run all lie close together, the race is easy for spectators to follow.
