Omloop van Empel is the local running and walking day around Sociaal Cultureel Centrum D'n As in Empel. On Sunday 14 June 2026 the event celebrates its 10th edition, with a clear format: 5 km, 10 km or 15 km of running as one, two or three 5 km laps. There are also walking routes of roughly 7.5 km and 15 km, and the Kidsrun takes place before the adult distances. Participants collect their race numbers at D'n As, where changing rooms, toilets and an outdoor terrace are provided. With its mix of kids' races, walking routes, straightforward running distances and SummerCityRuns context, Omloop van Empel feels like a complete village sports day rather than just a single race start.
