The High Tech Triathlon takes place entirely on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven: the swim is in the pond on the grounds, the bike leg runs over the campus roads past the Shimano headquarters among others, and the run passes the finest corners of the park. The eighth distance consists of 500 metres of swimming, 20 kilometres of cycling in three laps and 5 kilometres of running in two. There is also a parent-and-child triathlon with adapted distances — 150 metres swimming, 7 kilometres cycling and 1 kilometre running — for children up to fifteen together with a parent. Companies compete in a classification of their own. Because everything stays within a single site, the race can be followed from start to finish.
